FAQs

Is the Viet Nam Vets Legacy Vets MC currently accepting new members?

Yes, but we recognize that our world is not for everyone. It requires a significant investment of your time and dedication to build the kind of brotherhood we require. If you think you may have what it takes contact us. One of our brothers will get in contact with you who is in your area. We are everywhere in the USA and in other countries as well.

How do I go about seeking membership?

As mentioned above you must contact us. You can use the contact form here on the website, or better yet approach one of our brothers. Let him know that you are interested. If you are a veteran and can prove it with a DD 214 and you have a motorcycle that meets our requirements you may be invited to hang around so we can get to know you. If we like who we see, and you still want to become a member then you will be expected to go through a prospecting phase where you meet more brothers, ride with us, and learn the ways of our world.

Do I have to be a veteran to become a member?

Yes, you must be on active duty in the military, serving in the Reserves or National Guard, or a veteran in possession of a DD-214.

How do I prove that I am a veteran or currently serving on active duty?

Those currently serving will have an ID card and those who have separated or retired will have a DD 214.

What is the cutoff date for being a Vietnam Vet as opposed to a Legacy Vet?

Those who began service after December 1975 are Legacy Vets Brothers. Those who served during the Vietnam War era are Viet Nam Vets Brothers. Those who served before the Vietnam era and otherwise meet our requirements would technically be Legacy Vets Brothers as well. But there are damn few of those around still riding.

As a non-vet can I become an honorary member or dedicated supporter?

We do not have “honorary members” in Texas. But we welcome those who want to support us to do so as long as you have the right stuff.

How can I support the club as a non-vet?

There are many supporters of the Red and Black in the USA and around the world. They are made up of family members and friends who support us by going to our club’s public events and purchasing our support gear.

Do you have support clubs?

No we do not. Nor are we interested in having any in the future.

Do you have events that non-members can attend?

We have regular events that non-members can attend. Our events are regularly attended by other MCs, independent bikers and the non-riding public as well. Attending our events is the best way to get to know us and to support us. Here is a page with our current news and events.

Are you a 1% club?

No we are not.

Do you claim territory?

No we do not.

How large is the club?

We are the largest all-military motorcycle club in the world and are among the largest motorcycle clubs in the world with members in every state in the USA and several other countries as well.

Where are you located?

We are “Evil” Chapter located in Dallas, TX. If you are not in our area we can get you in touch with someone near you.

How do I go about seeking membership?

When you see a Brother out and about, walk up and introduce yourself. We go by the principle of “Give Respect Get Respect” so just be respectful and the Brother will talk to you about our club and the process. If you can’t wait then use our Contact Form.

How do I contact a chapter in Texas?

See paragraph above.
